Social Audit PM Poshan
HSS, IIT Jammu, in collaboration with Samagra Shiksha, PM-Poshan, conducted a social audit of the Mid Day Meal Scheme (MDMS) in the selected districts of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. The rationale for conducting the audit was to assess the issues and concerns of various key players, such as the functionaries, parents, students, and officers associated with MDMS, to develop an effective functioning of the scheme.
The fieldwork team included:
- Dr Quleen Kaur Bijral (PI),
- Mr Pummy Sharma,
- Ms Tanu Gupta,
- Ms Marve Batool Sofi, and
- Research Assistants (locals of the districts).
A detailed report was submitted with resolutions and recommendations for the pertinent issues.
