Eye Tracking and Attention

The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) at IIT Jammu, in collaboration with the Action Control and Cognition Lab at the University of Hyderabad, hosted the “Eye Tracking and Attention” workshop as the first chapter of the Manthan Series on 16 November 2024. Around 250 participants gathered to discuss technology’s impact on human cognition.
Keynote speaker Dr. Ramesh Kumar Mishra highlighted eye tracking's roles in bilingualism and cognitive control. Sessions included insights from ACCL members on usability research and Dr. Garima Singh’s techniques for improving focus. The workshop concluded with Dr. Amitash Ojha discussing the implications of eye movements in understanding cognitive processes.
