Cyber Security and Privacy Awareness

The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) at IIT Jammu successfully hosted a workshop as the second chapter of the ‘Manthan Series’, which focused on ‘Cyber Security and Privacy Awareness.’ Dr. Rajendra Kumar Solanki served as the keynote speaker for the event. An expert in information security, Dr. Solanki has made significant contributions to e-governance at IIT Jammu.
The workshop consisted of two sessions. The first session addressed security practices, such as password safety, while the second session discussed privacy measures related to social media. Dr. Amitash Ojha, the Head of the Department at HSS, concluded the session by emphasizing the importance of privacy in safeguarding consumer data from targeted marketing.
