Unveiling Saptarshi Multidisciplinary Research Centre
Saptarshi Multidisciplinary Research Centre is a reflection of IIT Jammu’s commitment to bring the best for its researchers. This Central Instrumentation Facility stands tall and proud at the institute’s Paulora campus. The ever-evolving facility is often swarmed with young scholars, institute scientists and faculty researchers and topics of scientific interest are great conversation starters.
Why CIF?
The Central Instrumentation Facility at IIT Jammu, also called
Saptarshi Labs is key to IIT Jammu’s mission to create a vibrant ecosystem for
multidisciplinary research that has the potential to serve the industry.
Situated at the Paulora campus, the CIF aims to host a variety of labs
with world-class equipment making it a hub for researchers at IIT Jammu.
What is CIF?
The aim is to create a facility that has the potential of
carrying out globally competitive Research and Development in emerging
areas of
basic and applied research.
The CIF is being established not just to aid the research requirements of the institute researchers but also, to help the industry. Industrial collaborations to create effective and efficient products to help the community, remains a key goal of this facility.
