Executive M. Tech. in AIML

Program structure:

1. Two year program consisting of 4 semesters. Refer to Annexure I for details.

2. Program consists of 7 core courses and 3 elective courses with 42 hours of live lectures each along with a capstone project and a dissertation. Each course has a minimum 42 hours of lectures and tutorials over and above.

3. All the lectures are offered online over the weekends (both Saturday and Sunday).

4. Detailed course content for the courses carefully curated by the IIT Jammu faculty are available as per Annexure II.

5. Provision for certificate (but not a degree) without Thesis is available.

6. If a candidate is unable to complete course requirement, there will be provision for a summer semester to let him clear the backlog. 

Governing Committee:

A governing committee consisting of in-house faculty and renowned industry experts has been constituted to ensure compliance of the course with IIT Jammu academic standards. This committee reports to the IIT Jammu senate at regular intervals.

Eligibility Criteria:

Working professionals with minimum two years experience in industry having a minimum of B. Tech/BE degree in any branch of Engineering or MCA or M.Sc. degree in related areas. 

Enrolment Criterion: 

• Minimum CPI of 6.0 or 60% in qualifying degree, fulfilling specific requirements for different disciplines.

• Qualifying criterion for professionals with more than 10 year experience is relaxed to CPI of 5.5 or 55% marks.

• Shortlisted candidates will need  to clear a written test and/or interview before enrolment. 

• Students once enrolled will be provided a student id of IIT Jammu and can access various services as availed by a regular student.

Admission Process

1. Aspiring candidates should apply on the Intellipaat portal link https://intellipaat.com/m-tech-data-science-artificial-intelligence-iit-jammu/.

2.  Intellipaat will verify the documents and may seek clarification from candidates for any ambiguity and incompleteness. Intellipaat may choose to ask for a fully refundable deposit along with application from the candidate.

3. All applications will be reviewed by IIT Jammu and If an application is not found to be prima facie meeting the required criterion, then IIT Jammu will ask Intellipaat to reject the application and refund any deposit given by the candidate in full.

4. Intellipaat will communicate to the eligible candidates, the date for online proctored written test and interview after verification of documents. The test and interview will be conducted on regular intervals. Normally these will be scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays for the convenience of candidates.

5. Selectin of a candidate will be done on the basis of his academic credentials, experience and performance in written test and interview.

6. The list of selected candidates will be shared by IIT Jammu with Intellipaat and also confirmation mail will be sent to selected candidates by IIT Jammu. All those who are not selected, will be refunded full deposit amount.

7. Offer letter for selected candidates will be sent by IIT Jammu thru email and posts to candidates with copies to Intellipaat.

8. Intellipaat will initiate the collection of Balance fee from candidate after offer letter has been sent by IIT Jammu. 

9. Once payment as per terms has been received, Intellipaat will inform IIT Jammu and enrolment letter containing all the details will be sent to the candidate by IIT Jammu.
