Dr AMITABH RANJAN
Vice Chairman, Pan IIT Alumni India
Amitabh Ranjan, Ph.D., MBA, B.Tech., Vice Chairman, Pan IIT Alumni India and Registrar, Indian Institute of Public Administration, Government of India has 28+ years of experience in diversified fields including Civil Services. He has wide experience of Public Policy, Grassroot Governance and Public Administration including handling of various Govt. Schemes along with Financial Management, General Administration, Academic Administration & Management and Capacity Building. An Alumnus of Near East South Asia Center for Strategic Studies (NESA), National Defense University, Washington DC and IIT (ISM), Dhanbad, he has widely travelled across the Globe for Academic engagements like USA, France, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Bangladesh and Bhutan. He had been instrumental in implementation of VAHAN (Vehicle Registration) and SARATHI (Driving License) while serving in Uttar Pradesh Government, both of which are now active all over India in Transport offices and have been great examples of Citizen-centric governance and Ease of living. He served at STQC Directorate, MeitY, Government of India before joining IIPA.
A Public Policy Expert, he is a regular Keynote Speaker with over 60 speeches at various fora in India and abroad on various issues in last 03 years. He is a Columnist and his articles are regularly published in several Newspapers.
Being a Petroleum Engineering graduate, his natural interest lies in Energy security, Renewable Energy, Net Zero and Climate Smart Governance. He has also a keen interest in DPI and e-Governance.
