The Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Jammu, celebrated its Foundation Day on 17th August 2024. The event featured insightful talks from distinguished guests across academia and industry. Prof. Nishit Verma discussed transitioning towards a sustainable future by going beyond conventional materials and methods. Sh. J.N. Sharma highlighted the role of public administration in environmental governance, while Sh. Siddharth Shankar spoke on the green technologies developed at Lummus Technology. Sh. Ravi Kumar Voolapalli shared valuable insights on refining processes and sustainable development.
The event concluded with the awarding of prizes and certificates to the winners and participants of the Idea Pitch and Poster Presentation. A heartfelt note of thanks was expressed by Dr. Ravi Kumar Arun, the Head of the Department.
